Jimmy joined the staff of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen in 2015 as the Chief Operations Officer after serving as the founder and executive director a local outreach organization to the homeless.
A native of Chattanooga, Jimmy spent time in the Marine Corps where he earned his combat action ribbon during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has an eclectic background of skills that include Christian ministry, food service, law enforcement, and education. Jimmy is also a writer with many published works through the popular question and answer website GotQuestions.org and Activist Faith. His first published book, Faith Acts, which he co-authored with best-selling author Dillon Burroughs, was released in early 2016.
Jimmy is a graduate of the former Tennessee Temple University with a Bachelor of Science and Temple Baptist Seminary with a Master of Ministry. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership through Piedmont International University. When not at work, Jimmy is at home with his wife of over 15 years and their two boys.
