Homeless Employment HELP II

The HELP II Program assists clients with finding and keeping jobs, including necessary life-skills training (such as resume, interviewing techniques, hygiene, consistency, etc.)  Case managers work with clients to secure housing, transportation, and essential needs.  After completing the program, clients are tracked for 90 days.

 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Individuals to teach life skill classes.  Classes are held every Thursday from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at the Community Kitchen. Classes include: budgeting, interviewing, goal setting, time management, and workplace etiquette
  • Individual to tutor clients for literacy and to assist with GED classes
  • Individuals to mentor clients, possibly meeting with the client one day a week

NEEDS:

Bus tickets, Bus passes, interview attire for men and women, furniture and household items.
