Thrift Store

The thrift store/give-away program distributes free clothing to the needy and sells items at reduced prices to the general public.  Proceeds of thrift store sales are used to hire homeless and needy individuals.


Individuals or Groups:
Sort clothes by size, age, etc.
Size, tag and fold linens
Organize items on the floor (put all of one item together)
Periodically clean donated shoes, tie together
Pair unusable shoes for recycling
Take donations out of the box
Test electrical appliances and rubber band cords together
Assist customers on the floor
Straighten up merchandise on the floor
Help clean store: (dust, sweep, mop floors), wipe off counters, clean glass doors
Color code racks according to articles of clothing
Help bag giveaway items on Tuesday from 1:00PM to 4:00PM and file paperwork

Activities may require heavy lifting, bending, and standing on feet for periods of time.
No one under 17 unless supervised by an adult.

Monday – Friday: 10AM – 4PM
Saturdays: 9:00AM to 4:00PM

Saturdays—2 hour increments

2-hour intervals with a group, not more than 5 people at a time


Clothing: Socks, underwear (men and women), jeans, shirts, coats, shoes
Hygiene: Deodorant, razors, toothbrushes, trial size shampoo, lotion, and toothpaste
Household Items: Furniture, dishes, flatware, appliances, etc.
